The whiteboard that moves itself.
A tag on the collar, a receiver in each room. When Bella goes from prep to surgery, her card moves and her owner gets the text. Nobody drags a card.
How it works
Bella moves. The board follows.

The engine
Radio is noisy. The board can't be.
A pet turning around swings the signal by 6 dB, and drywall barely stops 2.4 GHz. "Strongest receiver wins" would flip a card between neighboring rooms every few seconds. Three rules stop that.
A new room has to beat the current one by this much. A wall's worth of leak isn't enough.
And keep winning this long. A pet carried past a doorway doesn't move. Exit doors use 2 s, because a walk-out is the event.
A receiver that stops hearing a tag fades out instead of freezing at its last reading.

Sectors
One engine. Five buildings.
Each sector is a pack: what a room means, what to call people, and what (if anything) to text. Swapping one is a config line, not a rewrite.

What it will never do
The worst text is the wrong one, at the wrong time.
Never backward
Texts only move forward and each stage speaks once. Back into surgery after recovery says nothing.
Outcomes wait for a person
Recovery, pickup and checkout are drafts until a tech taps send. A hold turns every automatic text into a draft.
No medical words
No template carries a diagnosis or a result, and a test fails the build if one does.
Strangers' devices go nowhere
Receivers hear every phone and earbud nearby. Anything that isn't a registered tag is dropped on arrival and never stored.
Hardware
An $8 tag. A $10 receiver. An afternoon.
hover anything ↑
Minew E8 class tag on the collar, badge or key fob. iBeacon and Eddystone at once.
An ESP32 on a USB plug per room, or a Mac you already own. Firmware included.
A pilot for an eight-room clinic: twenty tags, eight receivers. Wall TV not included; most clinics have one.
Two surgery days. See if anyone calls.
A pilot is one clinic, one afternoon to install, two busy days. The board counts its own accuracy and the desk taps once per update call.
